Writing the Self: Artist Development Workshop

Date & Time: Sunday, October 5, 2025 | 3-5PM PT; 6-8PM ET
Week 1 of 5 in the Excavate the Wound Fall 2025 Series

About This Workshop + Excavate the Wound

Excavate the Wound is a holistic craft-based workshop series that invites writers to dig inward through memory, obsession, and imagination to uncover what gives their stories depth. Each session blends craft with psychological and mythical self-inquiry, guiding you to clarify your creative voice, build rich characters, and shape living story worlds.

Before we can tell powerful stories, we must ask ourselves why we tell them. This opening session guides participants inward, helping them uncover the personal experiences, obsessions, and curiosities that shape their creative voice. By treating self-study as the foundation of craft, artists will begin building stories that resonate deeply with both maker and audience.
