Script Notes

I personally read and engage with projects in progress and offer thoughtful feedback. As a writer, director, and longtime film programmer, I’ve spent years reading project proposals, scripts, and artist statements for grants, labs, and festivals. I approach each project with that perspective in mind, considering not only how the story functions on the page, but how it might resonate with readers, reviewers, collaborators, and audiences.

When I read your work, my aim is not to prescribe a “correct” version of the story, but to help you better understand the world you’re building and the emotional currents moving through it. I offer reflections on what feels vivid, unresolved, and where there are opportunities for the story to deepen in the next draft.
